Principal's Message

Education is a journey, for young and old alike. At Chapslee, we aim at helping young minds undertake this journey with a vision for self and for society. Providing affordable quality and value based education to the children of middle income group is our aim and objective. We hope to develop well rounded wholesome personalities with open minds, reasoning and understanding. Rote method of teaching and learning is passé and we understand the concept personalities of modern day education and earnestly impart the same to our students. We also endeavor to develop their inherent talents in various fields and provide them the right atmosphere by striking the correct balance between curricular and co-curricular activities.

The staff at Chapslee is not only learned but also continuously working to keep up with the changing trends in education. Parents can be rest assured that their children are in the most experienced and safe hands.

Our approach to education is both 'active' and "Student Centered" learning. We continuously encourage our students to develop their analytical as well as creative skills by asking questions, reflecting on the subject matter taught and giving their valuable suggestions and inputs. Teaching is not one sided and we totally respect the point of view of the students and believe that learning is a two way process. We combine lecture method with workshops and practical lessons and one-to-one interaction (if necessary)

Underpinning our approach to teaching is a strong commitment to 'active' and 'student centred' learning. We believe that learning in the school does not come only from receiving information, but also through one's own enquiries, critical thinking and reflection. We therefore, encourage our students to develop these skills to become independent learners and thinkers, while being guided and supported by their tutors and lecturers. Our teaching methods combine traditional lecturers with workshops, together with one to one tutorials (if necessary).

Our students have gone ahead and have taken up flourishing careers in business, medicine, private sector, armed forces and the like. Needless to say, we proud to have been the alma mater of promising young men and women.

I hope this booklet will be a useful introduction to the school. More information with regard to the course offered by the school may be taken from the school office.
