HISTORY
CHAPSLEE SCHOOL HISTORY
Chapslee School, was founded on the 1st of September, 1973. It began as a play school in one small room with three children, one of whom was the founder's own son. It graduated in stages, first to a co-ed preparatory school for children seeking admissions to St. Edward's School or Loreto Convent, Tara Hall—then to a Primary school and later, a secondary school.

It's first campus was at Chapslee Estate, but as it expanded, a second campus was started at Northwood, near the Police Lines, Bharari, Shimla. It was affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination in 1996 and the first Class X Examination was held in 1998.

However, in April 2001, in order to fulfill the needs and demands of students and parents, the school changed over to the CBSE board and upgraded to the Senior Secondary stage. The 1st batch of class X children sat for the CBSE exam in March,2002, whilst the 1st batch of class XII appeared to the board exam in 2003.

The aim of Chapslee School, right from its inception, has been to provide affordable, quality and value based education. While we aspire to high standards in academics, effort is also made to include many co-curricular activities with emphasis on our own Indian Culture and values for the overall development of students.
